Staff
Laura is a San Antonio native who has been a Methodist Pastor for six years. She got off to an interesting start as associate pastor of Cristo Reina UMC, a Spanish-speaking congregation that ministered to migrant workers in Kentucky. Her first sermons were all in Spanish! When she returned to the area, she was appointed associate pastor at FUMC, San Angelo, where she began a highly successful emerging worship service called the 11th Hour and led the church in Outreach. Laura was appointed to FUMC, New Braunfels in June and is thrilled to be here with her husband Kevin, who is a nurse at Christus New Braunfels, and daughters Anna and Leah. Laura preaches weekly at the 9:45 Contemporary worship service and leads the church in reaching out to the community with the
love of Christ.

TO BETTER WORK WITH OUR STUDENTS’ AND FAMILIES’ BUSY SCHEDULES, WE’RE GOING TO CHANGE A FEW THINGS IN JULY:

This time of fellowship and food will continue on as before. Both parents and students are invited to join Wes at TJ’s Burgers and More at noon every Tuesday for an hour of great food and even greater fellowship

WORK PROJECTS
|
|
Work Projects are going to be moving times. We will do 2 work projects in July on Wednesdays: July 9th and 30th from 5 to 7pm. On the 9th, we will be helping convert a Mother’s Day Out Room into a new Pre-School Room here at the church. The project for the 30th is TBA
|
SUNDAY SCHOOLS
|
Youth Sunday School times will remain the same. At 9:45, we will offer a Jr High class and a Sr High class. At 11, we will have a combined class that will meet at the Crosswalk Café, located on the square. The only difference here is that every first Sunday of the month, all Sunday Schools will meet in the Sanctuary and will worship together with the congregation.

OTHER NEWS
PLANS FOR THE FALL
When the Fall comes, we’re going to hit the ground running! Due to popular demand and after much prayer and consideration, we will be splitting the Jr High and Sr High Youth! The plan is to have a Jr. High Youth time from 11am to 12pm and Sr. High Youth from 1 to 2pm with a combined lunch time and worship in the middle. I would love to hear your feedback on this.
